Formerly a student at the University of Abuja, Adaeze pursued her childhood dream by representing Anambra in the pageant with 29 other girls.           Modelling to her is beyond career its a passion that she grew with and grew with her. "I think it has been in me. I used to love watching the runaway on TV. If you had asked me to choose between schooling and modelling then, I would have chosen modelling. Before now, I had never done anything on the runway. But I did a couple of adverts. I was in Abuja and called my sister in Lagos, because she had been following it (MGBN) up for me. I asked if they had started selling the forms and she said yes. So, I sent the money to Lagos and she got the form for me. I filled it in Abuja and came back to Lagos to submit it.I knew all the queens and I watched the pageant every year. In fact, I was ready for it two years before it came. So, once I was of age, I was very ready for it. I prayed about it and went in that direction. Everybody was in support, including my church," She Said.

Unknown to many, ex-beauty queen, Adaeze Igwe-Yobo shares a lot of things in common with her mother.
First is their love for early marriage and secondly their passion for footballers. Just like her mother, Adaeze got married to her husband, Joseph Yobo on the new year eve, 2010 at the age of 19. Adaeze marriage to Joseph Yobo, a football player is blessed with a boy, Joey who recently celebrated his first birthday in Turkey amidst friends and family.

Soon after settling down in marriage, it dawned on observers that she was following her mum’s footstep who also got married quite early to Adaeze’s father, though the marriage has since packed up.
Recently, the news broke of Adaeze’s mum’s engagement to celebrated ex- Nigerian soccer star, John Fashanu who recently took her as new wife. She has since adapted his name and is now being addressed as Abigail Fashanu.
The question now is, what’s with Adaeze and her mum with footballers. And from the look of things, they seem to have found great happiness with these two great footballers.

We are happy for you.
